West Suburban Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program
Clarissa O'Conor is a third year family medicine resident at West Suburban Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. She attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. During residency, she has been lucky to learn from an amazing addiction medicine consult team who cares for patients in the epicenter of the city's fentanyl overdose crisis, on the West Side of Chicago. Her research thus far has focused on inpatient administration of long-acting injectable buprenorphine. She is also interested in the care of older adults with substance use disorders, perinatal addiction medicine and lactation medicine, and addiction medicine in the ICU. Clarissa is excited to start her addiction medicine fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in July!
