Evan Balmuth is a fourth-year Medical Student at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, where he is Co-Executive Director of the student-run WiSH Harm Reduction Clinic. After his postgraduate training, he aims to serve vulnerable communities as an academic general internist. His research focuses on the healthcare experiences of individuals with substance use disorders, as well as socioemotional impacts of care interactions. He is originally from Massachusetts and graduated with a BS in Biopsychology from Tufts University.
