Macy Afsari is a second-year medical student at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. A Michigan native, she graduated from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2021 with a degree in biochemistry and medical anthropology. Her prior research has focused on HPV and vaccine hesitance, and current work includes topics on substance use disorder in pregnancy and abnormal uterine bleeding. Her current career interest is in obstetrics and gynecology.
