Dr. Victor Li is a fifth year psychiatry resident and concurrent disorders fellow at the University of British Columbia. He completed his medical school and MD/PhD training at the University of British Columbia, where he investigated a novel NMDA receptor positive allosteric modulator and its impacts on glutamate and dopaminergic signaling. His current areas of interest is the NMDA receptor as a therapeutic target in substance use disorder and mood disorder intersections.
Currently, Dr. Li works with the Vancouver General Hospital Complex Pain and Addictions service, with a focus on novel opiate use disorder interventions and strategies for those with severe fentanyl use disorder living in Vancouver, the epicenter of Canada's opiate use disorder crisis.
