Melanie Rader, BS, is a fourth-year medical student at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF). She previously attended California State University, Long Beach where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Cell Biology and Physiology. Melanie's interests include understanding and improving addiction care in pregnant and postpartum people, as well as understanding barriers to women's healthcare. She will be an OB/GYN resident physician next year and is planning to continue exploring ways to improve addiction care for pregnant people.
