Yonina Mar is a medical director in one of the Mount Sinai Beth Israel opioid treatment programs in the lower east side of Manhattan. She also works as a primary care physician at REACH, a harm reduction prinary care clinic in Harlem in the Mount Sinai Health System, where she provides comprehensive medical care for patients who use substances. Besides clinical patient care, she is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, helping to instill an understanding and appreciation of addiction. At a policy level, she sits on the New York State substance use guideline committee and has written and reviewed guidelines geared toward generalists and specialists to help improve care for patients that struggle with addiction.
