Lauren Arnold Bell received her medical and public health degrees at Columbia University in New York City before completing residency in Pediatrics at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and Adolescent Medicine/Clinical Pharmacology fellowships at Indiana University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on effective, community-based and community-directed implementation of primary and secondary prevention measures for vulnerable youth, especially in substance use disorders and overdose prevention. She joined faculty in Preventive Medicine at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in her hometown of Memphis, TN in August 2023 and clinically practices in addiction medicine.
