Addiction Medicine Fellow, Boston Medical Center
Safina Adatia is a current Addiction Medicine Fellow at Boston Medical Center. She is passionate about methadone liberation, the social determinants of health, Indigenous health and increased access to addiction treatment. She completed her medical training and residency at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and has experience working in both Montreal and Vancouver, Canada. She will be graduating from her fellowship in June 2024 and will be joining Thundermist Health Center, an FQHC in Rhode Island and a Tufts Family Medicine residency teaching site (in 2026). She looks forward to providing low barrier addiction and primary care in her future practice and educating medical learners on addiction treatment.
