This workshop will explore challenges in providing stabilizing care to individuals with complicated use disorders in communities with limited resources. After a short didactic, participants with work as a team to problem-solve cases for patients from vulnerable populations who are using multiple substances, whose goals may not be abstinence based, and focus on creating patient-centered, harm-reduction focused care plans.

1. Identify barriers to withdrawal management and treatment access for people using multiple substances in resource limited communities
2. Describe harm-reduction focused approaches to managing withdrawal in patients who are using multiple substances
3. Formulate patient-centered care plans that incorporate creative usage of limited local resources
