A clinical pathway specific to youth is a critical part of safely managing symptoms of withdrawal from illicit use of drugs and alcohol in an acute medical setting. A well-designed, collaborative pathway can improve medical and behavioral health outcomes. This session will provide insights into creating an institution-wide withdrawal pathway in a children’s hospital. This dynamic workshop includes interactive polling, a panel discussion, and brief didactic on creating a framework to build a withdrawal pathway at your own institution.
