Most Americans now live in a state where cannabis is available, accessible, and encouraged as a medical therapy, including as a treatment for chronic pain. However, evidence on the benefits and risks of cannabis has not kept up with modern day practice. This session will highlight the changing landscape of state laws related to cannabis, call out areas of consensus and controversy regarding its use, and summarize emerging evidence on the impact of cannabis on patient outcomes.
