Jordan Scott (CRS) is a disabled drug user using her living experience to help reform policy related to drug user rights, disability justice, and harm reduction at large. She has experience in event planning and fundraising as a founding member of the Lehigh Valley Walk for Recovery which has raised over $49,000 since 2020. Jordan has worked for the Pennsylvania Harm Reduction Network since October 2021 as a community organizer and is now in her role of Digital Advocacy & Organizing Coordinator. A grassroots organization, PAHRN is a statewide advocacy organization focused on advancing public health policy through education, community organizing, and technical assistance. In 2022, Jordan helped coordinate a successful campaign to legalize drug-checking tools like fentanyl and xylazine test strips that went into effect in January 2023. Jordan has worked in the peer field since 2016 and her early work was centered on problem-solving courts and street outreach. Jordan is the Program Director for RecoveryTexas, a statewide warm line offering free digital peer support services to Texas residents, in partnership with BeWell Texas Virtual Clinic. She is a board member of the National Coalition to Liberate Methadone and is working with advocates around the country to break the liquid handcuffs and make methadone accessible to the masses. Since 2022, Jordan has been a part of the Expand Good Sam NC Coalition and handles social media and community engagement. A survivor of institutional and medical trauma, Jordan is passionate about creating a system built on autonomy and compassion. A native of southeastern Pennsylvania, Jordan now resides in Raleigh North Carolina with her partner and furry companion Teaberry. In her spare time, you can find Jordan at Wrightsville Beach, in a bookstore, cooking a favorite meal, being an Aunt, and cheering on her beloved Philadelphia Eagles.
