Iman Parhami MD MPH is a triple-board certified physician (Child Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine) who completed his child and adolescent psychiatry training at Johns Hopkins University.
In addition to being the medical director and co-founder at a private intensive outpatient program for adolescents and adults, he is a principal investigator at CENEXEL, conducting clinical trials for new psychiatric treatments in adults and adolescents. He also sees outpatient clients at USC's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
He received multiple national recognition awards during his training, including a research training grant from the American Academy of Children and Adolescents and National Institute of Drug Use and other honors from the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Parhami has written multiple peer-reviewed scientific journal articles focusing on addictive disorders. In addition, Dr. Parhami completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at UCLA's Department of Psychiatry studying psychosocial interventions for behavioral addictions and a clinical fellowship at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia.
