Captain Shan Hackwell is the Jail Commander for the Grand County Sheriff's Office in Moab, Utah. His duties include overseeing jail operations and staff, overseeing dispatch services, managing court security, and coordinating inmate transportation. He has worked in law enforcement since 2008 and has worked at the Utah State Prison in addition to positions as a Correctional Officer, Sergeant, and Jail Commander with Grand County. He is certified in Basic Corrections, Advanced Corrections, as a Special Functions Officer, and as a Law Enforcement Officer.
