Join our session on “Bridging the Gap: PrEP for People Who Use Drugs (PWUD)” to address a critical issue in HIV prevention. In 2020, PWUD accounted for 7% of new HIV cases in the United States. Despite the proven efficacy of PrEP, only a fraction of people are on the medication. This session will provide an in-depth understanding of PrEP fundamentals, unique challenges among PWUD, and equip participants with the skills to facilitate conversations about PrEP.

Identify at least two barriers to PrEP for people who use drugs
Apply at least one practical strategy to facilitate the PrEP conversation with their patients
