Steven Sprenger MD is a resident psychiatrist at Tristar Centennial Medical Center. He graduated from California Northstate University College of Medicine and holds a degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of California Davis. Current research interests include medical education, racial disparities, and tobacco cessation. Previous investigations focused on the effect of natural products on metabolism and cell proliferation. His research endeavors have been recognized with numerous local and national awards and have resulted in seven peer-reviewed publications. Dr Sprenger has a passion for medical writing and has held positions on the editorial board of a scholarly journal and the HCA healthcare medical writing team. He is a recipient of the 2024 Ruth Fox Scholarship and holds an interest in the intersection of addiction and pain medicine.
