Sarah Spencer DO, FASAM is the director of the addiction treatment program at the Ninilchik Traditional Council's community clinic. She is board certified in family and addiction medicine has been providing treatment for OUD in rural Alaska for over a decade, including telemedicine to remote native villages. Dr. Spencer works with Project HOPE to provide opioid overdose response training and naloxone distribution, and is vollunteer medical director and founding member of Alaska’s first rural syringe access program in Homer. She is a co-author of the state’s medication for addiciton treatment guide, and provides addiciton teaching and consulting services to non-profits including the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, the Opioid Response Network and the University of Alaska.
