Krishna White, MD, MPH is an attending physician in the Craig-Dalsimer Division of Adolescent Medicine at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania where she serves as Medical Directors of Substance Use Services and Outpatient Clinical Operations for the Adolescent Medicine Division. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, and Addiction Medicine. She has interests in reproductive health including provision of long-acting reversible contraceptive methods and adolescent and young adult substance use disorders.
Dr. White attended Hampton University, a HBCU in Hampton, VA. She graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA and then completed pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She trained in Adolescent Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. During her fellowship she also received a Master of Public Health in Health Policy from The George Washington University. After fellowship she started the Adolescent Medicine Division and became Chief of Adolescent Medicine & Pediatric Gynecology at Nemours/Alfred. I DuPont Hospital for Children in Delaware. In 2019, she joined the Division of Adolescent Medicine at CHOP and became the Medical Director of Substance Use Services. She also serves as an EPIC Super User and Clinical Champion for Patient Portal Privacy. After years of clinical practice and advocacy, she became board certified in Addiction Medicine in 2021 via the practice pathway. In 2022, she became the Medical Director for Adolescent Medicine Outpatient Clinical Operations.
Dr. White also a proud wife, mother of a teen daughter, and stepmother of three young adults in college and lives in New Castle, Delaware.
