Jonathan Pletcher, MD is a Pediatrician and Adolescent Medicine specialist who serves as the Medical Director of Inpatient Services for the Craig-Dalsimer Division of Adolescent Medicine at The Children’s of Philadelphia (CHOP), and an Associate Professor of Clincial Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout his career he has led the development of comprehensive and accessible clinical programs to meet the need of diverse populations by engaging and responding to the youth being served. He has developed youth-oriented resources and opportunities supporting the transition to adulthood for youth with complex health needs, including interdisciplinary hospital-based clinical programs, as well as health care delivery systems at juvenile detention centers and major universities. As a medical educator, Jon has collaborated in myriad courses and projects with a focus on effective communication and engagement of youth in advocating for their own health and safety. Jon is also the husband of Brooke, a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, and the father of three young men, Andrew, Joshua, and Noah.
