Jeanmarie Perrone, MD is a Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the founding Director of the Center for Addiction Medicine and Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Perrone leads a program for the treatment of opioid use disorder in the emergency department and a telehealth virtual bridge clinic for low barrier medication access. She has led numerous investigations in opioid stewardship and OUD treatment implementation and has advocated at the state and national level for emergency treatment and harm reduction for substance use disorders. She has served on several advisory committees with the CDC, FDA and NQF to address the overdose crisis and is boarded in emergency medicine, medical toxicology and addiction medicine.
