Annabel J. Mead, MBBS

Senior Medical Director
BC Provincial Health Services Authority, British Columbia

Dr Annabel Mead MBBS FAChAM DABAM is Senior Medical Director, Mental Health and Substance Use Programs at BC Women's Hospital, and Medical Director for BC Correctional Health Services. She is an addiction physician with expertise in women's health, concurrent psychiatric disorders and complex pain management. Dr Mead is a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine, a diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine and UBC Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine. She is past Program Director for the BCCSU Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program, and continues to teach and mentor physicians and other learners in specialty substance use care.
