Alexander S. Golec, MD, FAAP is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The Johns Hopkins University and an attending physician in the Division of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine at The Johns Hopkins Children's Center. He received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He went on to train in Adolescent Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco before returning to the midwest to complete a fellowship in Addiction Medicine at The Ohio State University. He then completed his Adolescent Medicine training at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Dr. Golec is board-certified in Pediatrics and Addiction Medicine, and is board-eligible in Adolescent Medicine. His clinical and research interests are in adolescent health, substance use, and LGBTQ+ health.
