Andrea Chiavarini, MD, FACOG, FASAM is an Addiction Medicine Doctor in Vancouver, Washington, at Lifeline Connections, a nonprofit with multiple programs in substance use and behavioral health treatment. She graduated from OHSU School of Medicine and completed residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at University of Arizona in Tucson. At Lifeline Connections, she serves as the primary provider on the withdrawal management unit, and she works on an outreach team called HOST (Homeless Outreach, Stabilization, and Transition,) which is a unique statewide program created by the Washington Health Care Authority to provide the lowest barrier care possible to unhoused people experience substance use and behavioral health challenges. Her favorite thing about working in Addiction Medicine has been connecting with so many amazing people who use drugs or alcohol and learning from them how to best serve them on an individual basis. She also loves being a mom, doing crossword puzzles, and watching musicals.
